Research and produce WOSU’s daily local call-in program adhering to standards of accuracy, fairness and balance. Duties include researching, suggesting topics and guest selection. Facilitating live conversations and interviews. Act as liaison between talk programming and news department; assist in clerical duties and correspondence for “All Sides.” Coordinate “All Sides” production.

Developed content and material for KJZZ’s network quality daily news magazine. Focused content on audience orientation, timeliness, and production values; prepared content, including gathering and rewriting material to convey required information and fit specific time slots; worked with leadership to create programming combining national, international, regional, and local content for incorporation into program services.

Producer – Essential Pittsburgh & The Confluence    (February 2012 – April 2017)

Created and produced WESA’s daily public affairs programs Essential Pittsburgh and The Confluence. Coordinated and produced public forums, town halls, remote broadcasts and special news projects. Also reported news and feature stories for WESA newscasts.

Producer – Marc Steiner Show & Midday (October 2005 – June 2011)

Lead producer for the Marc Steiner Show as well as creator, and senior producer, of the replacement public affairs show Midday. My duties included the selection of show topics, booking guests, managing and training of production staff and interns.

Produced, reported and edited field segments on award-winning national and local programs covering a wide range of topics including sociological issues, food, technology and outdoor living spaces.
